    YOURS?

Okay, so I’ve been super busy in the past 2 weeks–last week was a nightmare! Summer class started last week. God, it’s only 2 days a week, but it’s sooo tiring. My class is at my old university, which is an hour away. So I have to wake up at 4:30-5am in order to take the 6 am bus for my 8 am class. Then I have to take the bus back after class. I just sleep both ways. Though, in a wierd way, riding the bus relaxes me.

So the end of June went by better than what I’ve expected. My friend told me that her boss gave my resume to HR so they will be calling me in for an interview. When? Who knows! It could be this week or some time this month. Damn! I want to start the job now. I really, really want to quit my current job. Everyday that I go to work, I hate it more and more. I liked it more when I was only working one day a month, but that was because I had another job. Anyway, I guess I have to stay until I get another job. I recently started using my new credit card and I have to pay it off because interest kicks in.

So I’ve been tagged by Bev.

10 Things You Don’t Know About Me:

  1. I lie to get out of trouble. I mostly lie to my parents because they are annoying with their questions and comments. I’m 23 and I still have to lie about where I’m going or what I’m doing. Sad.
  2. I have to sleep with either the radio or the TV on at night. I can take naps without anything on, but when I sleep at night, one or both have to be on. The radio must be on a station that plays rock, hip hop, and/or R&B. The TV must be on a channel that I would watch when I’m awake. If it’s on something that I usually don’t watch, it kind of bugs me. My brother is the same way. My sister sometimes.
  3. I enjoy staying home and doing nothing. However, only when my mom is not buging me.
  4. I like to go window shopping and just walking around the mall alone. I find that I can try on clothes and buy things without being judged by my friends or parents.
  5. I like reading romance novels, specially the ones with Navy Seals or Marines. They’re hot!
  6. I have contacts, but I rarely wear them because I’m too lazy.
  7. I always do things at the last minute. My mom hates it when I do that, but I just get so lazy.
  8. Whenever I would get a new toy (i.e. camera, ipod, etc), I always buy a case and/or a bag for it. I would barely use it at the beginning because I don’t want it to break and I HATE letting other people handle it.
  9. I have a disease. I like to buy things that I don’t need just because I want them. This happens every month.
  10. I have to hug a pillow when I sleep. If I don’t have a pillow between my legs, I take forever to fall asleep. My brother and sister are the same way.

Okay, when I have to do some pre-reading for my lab tomorrow. Apparently, it’s going to be a long one. *sigh*

Life update!

May was a sucky month and it went all the way until June. However, in the past few days, things were starting to look up. It’s not exactly good, but it’s better.

For starters, I’m going to be getting the money I need to pay for my summer classes and for the Fall. However, I don’t know when the money will show up on my account. It said 24-48 hours from yesterday so today or Monday? I just hope it goes through smoothly and I don’t run into any problems with it. *cross fingers*

Then I wrote a letter to my manager (the one that I think hates me), asking if I can go back to being part bookseller and part barista and she said yes. Surprise? Yes, I was! Anyhow, I guess she doesn’t hate me that much. Is that a good thing? Too early to tell. Oh, so I thought I was in the clear with her when I saw my work schedule for next week. She gave me 4 days, but 2 of those days, I have classes. I’ve given her my new availability weeks ago. She probably forgot so I wrote her another letter. I still don’t know if she changed it. I seriously cannot work. Great!

In addition, I’m going to start volunteering next week in the hospital’s pharmacy. Well, maybe the week after that, but soon. I’m kind of excited because I really could use a good recommendation letter from the Senior Pharmacist. That would look great for my application. Too bad I started too late, but that was because it took forever for the Pharmacist to contact me. It took a whole damn year!

Also, the other day, I got this text from my friend who works at the job that I want to get a position at. It said, “My boss wants to know if you can still work” or something like that. I told her yes, but she hasn’t said anything since so I don’t know. Yeah, I don’t really care anymore.

I got a TB screening because it’s require for volunteers and I’m negative. But I have high blood pressure. I’ve never had high blood pressure before. WTF!

See how there always bad news along with good news.

In other news, I went to the outlet and got another Coach bag. Haha! Yesterday was payday so I went and got myself a present. I’m not as broke as last summer. God, I only had $50 in the bank last summer because I barely worked.

Empty parking garages, roadside motels, dark caves, dank basements, overgrown forests—what kind of setting makes you feel nervous?

All of them! The only time I don’t feel nervous is when I’m with someone else or when there are a lot of people around. I watch a lot of CSI and murder movies so I’m always thinking the worse.

Describe your idea of a perfect summer vacation.

1) Being able to relax at home without any nagging or bitching from other people.

2) Going to a different country with money to spend.

I’ll take either one of them.

Have you ever won a contest, drawing, or lottery? What was the prize?

I don’t ever win anything big. Once in awhile I win a lottery ticket or a few bucks here and there. I wish I can win the jackpot.

What do you think is the worst job?

Have you guys seen that TV show called “Dirtest Jobs” or something like that? Well, I would HATE to do one of those, but I would hate more to deal with dead bodies. I can never go into a field that’s related to death.

If you could be a teenager living in any decade, which one would you choose?

Probably some time in the future because more technology and probably more freedom to do things.

Perhaps no genre has benefited more from the Internet than the rant, and LiveJournal has seen some of the finest in its class. What is your favorite rant from the pages of LJ?

My favorite rants are the from “Customers suck” community. They’re all pretty funny.

What do you want your last meal to be?

Steak! If it’s the last thing I’m going to eat, it has to be meat. I am a meat eater.

Which cartoon character do you think is the most disturbing?

Some of the new cartoons shown nowadays are pretty disturbing to me. It’s not like it used to be.

What’s your favorite thing to order for takeout (or takeaway)?

Takeouts for college students are usually: pizza or chinese food.

If you had to choose between your friends and your significant other, who would you choose?

It depends. If they’re arguing, then it depends on what it’s about. If it’s choosing who to hangout with, I usually pick the one that I don’t get to see a lot.

Do you think that animals feel regret?

Maybe. Coco knows when she’s doing something bad and she always hide afterwards. Though, it could just be fear.

What was your favorite fairy tale as a child?

Disney! I loved Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty…

Describe your dream house (even if it’s not a house).

Big house with many rooms and a huge walk-in closet. I also want a pool, guest house, and a mini house for Coco. I can do into more detail, but it would take forever to type.

Do you still use a landline at home, or do you rely completely on your cell phone?

I only use my landline when I have to do activate a credit card or call different companies for my mom. All personal calls are on my cell phone. I really don’t see the need for a landline anymore, but my parents still use it.
